Received on 26th November 2011 - "Our shed was broken into overnight.
From a Tennyson Avenue Resident, who has rear entrance between Tennyson Avenue and King George V Avenue.
Some details have been removed from the following message, so as not to disclose the resident's name and location
Not sure if you want to send a message out to everyone but our shed was broken into overnight and they took a LOT of things!! I am currently waiting for the police and possibly a CSI officer to come and take a look. They smashed the lock off the shed with a lump of concrete which is still on the ground by the shed so I am hoping the police may get some finger prints. The back gate was still locked and bolted so I can only assume they climbed over the fence but no idea how they got stuff out, unless there was a few of them. They must have lifted my items over the high gate/fence.
I just thought you might want to spread the word and warn people to be extra careful.
If you have also been subject to any attempted break-ins during the same time, please contact the police on 101, a note to us would perhaps help other residents.
25th August 2011 - Report from one of our residents - Phone call claiming to be from Amnesty International.
WARNING One of our residents has said:- We have been targeted three times by a hoax call from fund raiders claiming to be from Amnesty International. I have contacted Amnesty who confirmed they have not contacted us. The caller has targeted our daughter and has requested bank details to collect a donation. When refused they are aggressive and continue to call.
Please inform the Milwood Royal Home Watch if you receive any of these type of calls - Report via our "Contact Us" link above.
Added to website Thursday 31st March 2011 - FLOWER pots have been stolen over the past two nights from gardens in KGVA and Elsing Drive, Templemead.
Two Residents of King George V Avenue have reported that during the night (30/31st March 2011) Pot plants have been stolen. (Nr Princes Way Junction). We have also received a report of hanging baskets being taken from two houses in Elsing Drive, Templemead, King's Lynn,
Among the items stolen were a cream/coffee marbled effect ceramic pot with established polyanthuses, a blue ceramic pot with a green spiky leaved plant, a terracotta pot with a 2in spruce conifer, and another with a large fern.
Gaywood Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) Sgt Hayley Beach said police have not ruled out that the items were stolen because of Mother's Day on Sunday.
Sgt Beach said: "It's possible that these plants have been stolen as gifts or for use in their own gardens. All of the items were heavy and would have required some effort to move. In light of this we're reminding people to pay attention to their garden security generally and to use chains or mark pots with their postcode where possible."
Please keep a check for these individuals - if you see any suspicious persons please ring 999 (Non urgent calls to 0845 456 4567)
Please advise the Milwood Royal Home Watch group if you have had any thefts of this type. It's possible these crimes may be in connection with "Mother's Day" this Sunday.
